For A Little Girl...

I sat with a pen and the paper again and sketched out this new design for a dress/shirt for a little girl...I think about 9-12 mos, based on Teddy's size...LOL!!! It has a pintucking to the front and back centers and the bodice is fully lined with an off white paisley print. Super cute I think...thought????

My original nursing cover up design

So, after having used everything from receiving blankets, to button up shirts, to nothing at all while I was nursing my own son for the 18 months I nursed him, over 4 years ago, I decided to come up with a pattern for all the moms out there looking for something for their nursing time! So I sat down, and got out my Sharpie and a HUGE post it paper pad from my dads office buddies, and sketched out the pattern that eventually turned into this REVERSIBLE NURSING COVER UP. I have no baby to nurse so in the spirit of picture taking and demonstrating a product I grabbed Sam's favorite stuffed animal, Pandy, and Jay kindly took a series for me to edit! Thanks for reading my blog! I would love the feedback if anyone wants to write!!!!

Yet Another Mission...

As the Justin Timberlake song goes...

"I'm bringing APRONS back...you other MOTHERS don't know how to act!"

Ok, so maybe that isn't how it goes!

I designed this apron pattern yesterday and made 9 for the shop.

What a wonderful day!

This morning we went to the Wilmington Beach! I am not a fan of this beach, but my house rats needed to do something other than stare at the tube. Jay and I took them and they had a blast! It is nice this year, very clean and well set up!

"Sam...my peener is cold!", "Mine too Eben!"

Swimming and fun eventually ensued after the initial water temp shock

Then we came home and while I crafted I sent the boys outside for some fresh air, and look what Eben found!!! A teeny tiny baby toad! (see it in Eben's hands?)

Eben said "I am a GREAT toad hun-er (hunter) Auntie!"

Sam said " Mommy, you are right, he does KICKLE (tickle)!"

How adorable is this baby toad?

Today I also made 11 pairs of baby booties and 12 burp cloths!
~They are some of my favorites~

What a WONDERFULLY productive, busy, happy day!!!

Hell to the yeah...

I am on a mission...to single handedly bring back the Fanny Pack!

Ok...so here I am at our Craft Booth at the Keene Adirondack Farmers Market today ROCKING the fanny pack. A wonderful borrowed piece from my gram, and the idea from my savvy mother...I am in love!

Some prefer the cash box, tupperware, envelopes, wallets, etc. But not me! I prefer old Fanny

What it lacks in fashion, it makes up for with handiness, comfortableness, and size!!!
I used it to hold the money for our booth!

Those who laugh have not experienced its convenience! Mock me if you will, but I intend on having Fanny on me for many more markets to come!!!

An unexpected surprise!

I had a wonderful surprise today...my sister Julia of http://julesinseach.wordpress.com/ informed me that I had a present at her house! I had been sent a lovely coffee sleeve from a mutual online blogger buddy of our, Christina from http://sometimescrafter.blogspot.com/ ! Julia had bought a coffee sleeve that she had been pining over for a while now, and Christina kindly sent one along to me as well! So to Christina, thank you so much, to Jules, thanks for sharing, and to all the others reading this...stop by her shop at the following address. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5709430 . Her work is amazing, and for the coffee/tea/cocoa drinkers out there...keep your hands cool, and your drink warm!

Dancing Frogs Quilt I Made Today

Since I am having to wear this brace for my sprained wrist, I have not been able to do the bags, bibs, etc due to the amount of pinning involved (KILLS). I have found a new pastime... QUILTING
I don't need to use scissors (use a fiscars rotary cutter) and straight lines means no pinning! I am resting my wrist and being productive! YAY!!! Hopefully I will do OK in PT and then I can go back to work and stop using my rapidly depleting sick time. I have enough time, but you never know what is around the corner.

Oh...almost forgot! Jules and I and our Adirondack Mama's Gifts got approved to be vendors for the ADIRONDACK FARMERS MARKET!
We will be in Elizabethtown NY, at the Pavillion this Friday the 5th, from 9am-1pm if anyone wants to stop and see our wares in person, or just stop and visit. We would love to see you all!
