Have you ever felt like your priorities are not in the right place?
I have been feeling a bit like a flake as Chef Mom lately...leaning towards the easy grab it foods and not making a healthy, rounded meal for my family.
I have had entire days to plan a menu, prep a meal, and pop it in the oven.
Entire days I tell you!
I have had my priorities in the wrong order. I have been hard pressed to tear myself away from the
latest crochet project, the juiciest celeb gossip site, or the most inspiring blog.
Yesterday was the straw...I realized that my child had had not had a Mom home cooked meal since MY mom made him one on TUESDAY!
I was ashamed, sad, and embarrassed...No EXCUSES...I WAS LAME~
Today I decided to make another HOMEMADE meal for MY family.
In the hopes of turning over a new leaf.
I made my first ever Barbeque Roasted Pork Loin, Lipton Creamy Garlic Noodles, and Peas...Definitely not a gourmet meal, but it was tasty, my boys asked for seconds, and my PICKY HUSBAND even ate it!
Here is to healthy meals, and my putting FAMILY FIRST!
Ohhhhhh....and sticking with it!
I've been bad at that too - the whole cooking for the family thing! But last week I made a very delicious baked Ziti. Now if only I could keep the motivation going! haha And your meals looks DELICIOUS!
